Yes, a refundable deposit is required. The amount depends on the trailer type and rental duration. We'll provide details at the time of booking. We do ask for a picture of the trailer loaded for a full refund.

There are no mileage limits on our rentals. You can focus on your project or adventure without worrying about extra charges based on distance.

• Proof of insurance: We require proof that your vehicle insurance covers towing a trailer. Most auto insurance policies extend coverage, but it's always a good idea to check with your provider beforehand.

• Tow vehicle capable of hauling the trailer: Make sure your vehicle has the towing capacity to safely handle the weight of the trailer you're renting. Check your owner's manual or consult our staff for guidance on trailer weight compatibility.

• Trailer hitch: Your vehicle will need a properly installed trailer hitch that matches the trailer's coupler size. We can recommend qualified hitch installers if needed.

• Towing experience: While extensive experience isn't required, some familiarity with towing basics is helpful. Our team will provide a comprehensive walkthrough during pick-up to ensure you feel confident on the road.

• Valid credit card for deposit: We accept major credit cards for the refundable deposit. The amount depends on the trailer type and rental duration. We'll provide details at the time of booking.

• 7-way plug and brake controller (if applicable): Some trailers, particularly those with electric brakes, require a 7-way plug on your tow vehicle and a compatible brake controller. We can advise you on whether your chosen trailer necessitates this equipment and can recommend resources if you need installation.

Trailer Hitch and Vehicle:

• Double-check compatibility: Ensure your trailer hitch matches the coupler size of the trailer you're renting and that the hitch/pin is secure.

• Verify electrical connection: Make sure your vehicle's 7-way plug is functional and connects securely to the trailer's plug.

Trailer Hookup:

• Level ground is key: Park on a level surface for safe and secure trailer hookup.

• Chock the Wheels: Chock the wheels of the trailer before starting the hookup process. Set the trailer brakes to prevent movement if possible.

• Couple the trailer: Carefully maneuver your vehicle to align the hitch with the trailer coupler. Raise or lower the trailer jack using the crank handle until the coupler slides over the hitch ball.

• Secure the latch: Ensure the coupler latch locks securely over the hitch ball. Double-check that the latch mechanism is fully engaged and secure the safety pin.

• Safety chains: Cross the safety chains underneath the trailer tongue and connect them to secure points on your tow vehicle's frame. There should be slight slack in the chains, but not enough to drag on the ground.

• Electrical connection: Plug the trailer's electrical connector into your vehicle's 7-way plug and secure any latches or straps to hold it in place.

• Perform a walkaround: Before hitting the road, do a final walkaround to confirm the trailer is securely hitched, lights are functioning, and safety chains are properly attached.
